The Sales Event Ambassador will be responsible for blowing our customers FUNkin' minds and bringing the stoke to our retail partners by successfully executing local events + promotions in the Bend, Redmond, + Sisters markets. S/he will work directly with the local Sales + Field Marketing team to assist with set-up, execution, and tear-down of the assigned events, promotions, + samplings. This position is anticipated to start in July with the bulk of events running from then through October. This part-time role will consist of an average of about 15 hours per week over the course of the year, and most shifts will be Wednesday-Sunday. There may be limited opportunities to travel outside of the Central Oregon market to support additional events throughout the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, + Idaho).


What You'll be Doing:

  • Work with the local Sales + Field Marketing team to execute 1 3 events per week (on average) that blow our customers' FUNkin' minds
  • Support + strengthen relationships with our distributor + retailer partners through event excellence
  • Engage + stoke out consumers through sampling, education, + fresh, creative event activations
  • Ensure event set-ups + tear-downs are completed accurately, safely, + efficiently
    • Coordinate with Deschutes Brewery team + distributor partners (on occasion) to pick up event/promo tools and product when necessary
    • Unload and load trucks
    • Post directional and promotional signs
    • Manage the set-up/tear down of jockey boxes
    • Drop knowledge on (i.e. educate) volunteers + retail staff on brand standards + product information
    • Assist with regular maintenance + inventorying of event equipment + supplies
  • Take a fresh lens to every event, promotion, + sampling to complete a thoughtful recap to help us do our best and next time do it better!
  • Communicate on a weekly basis with the local Sales + Field Marketing team on scheduling + planning of upcoming events as well as sharing feedback on past events


What You'll Need:

  • Must have open evening + weekend availability
  • Must have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts


  • Reliable transportation + a driving record that meets company insurance standards is required
  • Exceptional public speaking + customer service/engagement skills
  • Prior event experience strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Quick learner in fast-paced environment - must be a self-starter
  • Must have a very positive, upbeat, "singing in the rain" attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Able to complete duties independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills both verbally + written
  • Able to read + follow written directions
  • Physically able to lift, bend, kneel, climb, + reach for extended periods
  • The ability to lift + move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • The ability to be on your feet for 4+ hours at a time
